Do you fancy escaping from the cold weather and grey skies of January 2019 by waking up to sunshine, beaches and yoga? At the same time kick off your healthy living regime at the beginning of the year and join me on this amazing 7 night yoga holiday to Costa Rica!

 

Yoga

There will be a twice daily yoga practice taking place in either the outdoor or indoor Yoga Shala which is fully equipped with mats, blocks & bolsters.

*Please note that there will not be any yoga on the arrival day and only a morning session on the last day. During the week there will be a morning session only to allow for a full day excursion if you wish.

 

Our morning practice: We will begin our mornings by quietly centring ourselves and then moving in to a themed, alignment based Vinyasa Flow practice to awaken, invigorate and energise the body. Each session will close with meditation and Savasana. You will have the rest of the day at leisure to either relax or explore, after all this is your holiday!

 

Our evening practice sessions will be more of a gentle practice, mainly alignment based and fun partner work also including aspects of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Classes are suitable for students of all levels.

 

For our non-practicing yoga guests, there will be plenty to do, you certainly won’t have time to get bored! Spend your days on the beach soaking up the sun, indulging in to a good book, or for those more active perhaps try a spot of surfing, zip-wiring through the lush tropical jungle or take a hike up a volcano!

When organising your flights please bear in mind that as this is an exciting destination, you may want to extend your stay either before or after the retreat. This will be an additional cost to your trip. Please ensure that you arrive at the retreat on Monday 14th January and depart Monday 21st January.

 

Outbound flights are day flights and the return flights are overnight so you will arrive in to the UK on the following day.

 

Liberia Airport is the closest airport to the accommodation. Direct flights are operated by Thomson Airways on Mondays’ only.

 

Direct Flights:

London Gatwick to Liberia (LIR) – Thomson Airways Dreamliner depart Monday’s only

Approximate flying time 10 hours 37 minutes. This is the closet airport.

 

London Gatwick to San Jose Costa Rica (SJO) – British Airways depart Saturday’s & Wednesday’s Approximate flying time 10 hours 50 minutes.

Please Note: If you fly in to San Jose the transfer time is 4 hours.

Meet the teacher 

Tracey Killengray has over 20 years of experience within the Health and Fitness Industry as a qualified Exercise Professional and Yoga Teacher. Tracey started out teaching a variety of fitness classes such as Step, Aerobics, Circuits, Body Pump, Body Balance within the Milton Keynes area.

After 10 years of teaching Body Balance (a combination of Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi) she fell in love with the yoga element and wanted to indulge more and follow her passion in life.

 

Tracey’s own personal journey took her to Maui, Hawaii where she was privileged to be able to study with some world renowned masters in Iyengar, Ashtanga and Anusara Yoga.

Tracey’s style of teaching is alignment based Vinyasa Flow which is structured and fun, along with good humour. The emphasis is on sharing knowledge with students enabling them to deepen their practice safely and effectively.

 

Retreat life enables us to switch off from our busy lives, turn inwards and nourish our bodies and hearts, whilst sharing fun and laughter. These holidays are suitable for the solo traveller, couples, or groups of friends. You will spend the week with like-minded people where beautiful friendships develop so why not learn something new and remember what it is like to experience happiness and wellbeing.
